Carrying the Gospel to Lira Babies Home, Ngetta

Ministry does not wait for people to walk through church doors. Sometimes it means walking out of yours. That is exactly what our members did when they visited Lira Babies Home.

The visit was about people. It was about sitting with those who are often overlooked, holding hands with those who rarely feel held, and sharing the simple but powerful truth that God sees them and loves them. Our church members came with prayer, with song, and with a willingness to serve in whatever way was needed.

At the heart of Adventist mission is the conviction that the gospel is practical. Jesus did not only preach. He touched the sick, fed the hungry, and sat with the rejected. Our outreach to Lira Babies Home was a small reflection of that same spirit. The smiles we received reminded us that love, when it is sincere, does not need a stage. It just needs willing hands and open hearts.

We give thanks to God for the opportunity to serve, and we look forward to many more such moments where this church steps outside its walls and into the community it was called to bless.

When Prayer Becomes a Lifestyle, Not Just a Practice

There is something that happens in a church when its members begin to take prayer seriously. Not just the scheduled kind, but the kind that spills over into everyday life.

Our prayer ministry exists not as a programme but as a commitment. Members intercede for one another, for families in the community, for those who are sick, struggling, or simply searching for peace. The prayer team meets regularly, but their work does not stop when the meeting ends.

We believe prayer changes things. Not because of the words we say, but because of the God who hears them. Every request brought to our prayer team is treated with care and confidentiality, carried before God with faith and love.

If you have a need today, we invite you to reach out. You do not need to be a member. You do not need to have everything figured out. You just need to ask, and we will pray with you.

Young People Who Are Not Waiting to Be the Future

At Aduku Road SDA Church, our young people are not the future of this church. They are the present. They are already leading, serving, and making a difference.

The youth ministry at this church is built around one simple idea: give young people something real to belong to, and they will rise to meet it. So we do not just run programmes. We invest in people. We create space for young voices to be heard, for questions to be asked honestly, and for faith to be explored without pressure.

Through Global Youth Week of Prayer, community service projects, music ministry, and testimony sharing, our young adults have demonstrated that commitment to God and to others is not something you grow into. It is something you choose, regardless of age.

We celebrate every young person who walks through our doors and invite more to come. Whatever you are carrying, whatever questions you have, there is a community of young believers here who will walk with you.

What It Means to Gather as a Church Family Every Sabbath

Every Saturday, this church family comes together from different backgrounds and different struggles. And yet, something beautiful happens in that gathering.

Songs are sung. Prayers are offered. The Word is opened. And people who arrived carrying burdens leave having laid some of them down. Fellowship here is not a programme that happens after the service. It is woven into everything.

It is in the greetings at the door, the conversations over lunch, the encouragement passed quietly between friends. It is in the way the older members check on the younger ones, and the way new faces are welcomed before they even introduce themselves.

If you have never experienced a Sabbath at Aduku Road, we warmly invite you to come. Bring your whole self, questions and all. You will find a family waiting to welcome you.
